Thievery Corporation – The Temple of I & I

Good news for all the Thievery Corporation fans out there, they just released a new album a few days ago.  They sound like they are going back to their roots a bit here, and you can check out the full album below and on most streaming services.  I haven’t gotten a chance to listen to the whole thing yet, but it’s newsworthy regardless, and I’m sure it will be quality.

One of the coolest things I learned today was that the singer named Notch (featured in 3 tracks on this album) is the very same Norman “Notch” Howell from Born Jamericans!  Apparently he does vocals on a bunch of other Thievery Corporation tracks, but I guess I never noticed his name before.  Born Jamericans were one my favourites growing up, they were like the American answer to Chaka Demus & Pliers :)  If you don’t remember them, here is a blast from the past for you (circa 1994):
